These are the Terms & Conditions of Steep Stone™ (T/A Steep Stone Climbing and Steep Stone Publishing). In this document, "we", "our", "us" or "seller" refer to Steep Stone.
Free Shipping on UK orders only. We will normally ship all UK orders during the course of the next working day. We will notify you of any delay.
If you order from outside the UK you must contact us by email before purchasing and we will quote you as to the required shipping and handling charge.
As a rule of thumb, shipping to European addresses will normally incur a surcharge of 20% of the total order value and may take up to 12 working days. Shipping to Outside Europe addresses by Surface Mail will normally incur a surcharge of 25% of the total order value and may take up to 12 weeks. Shipping by Airmail is not available. A £5 GBP handling charge will be added to all international orders.
The overseas buyer will be responsible for and will indemnify and keep indemnified the seller in respect of any and all taxes, imposts and government impositions payable in respect of the goods by virtue of their export from the UK and/or their import elsewhere.
By completing and submitting the electronic order form you are making an offer to purchase goods which, if accepted by us, will result in a binding contract. This contract is subject to the law of England and Wales.

Please contact us by email before returning any goods. When returning goods please enclose your name, address, telephone number and, if possible, the date of purchase. We also need to know the reason for returning the item. Faulty goods will be replaced or refunded depending on the circumstance.
Rules on returning unwanted/ unsuitable items that you have ordered are governed within the UK by the Consumer Contracts Regulations. These state that if the customer changes their mind because they do not like what they have ordered and returns it, then the supplier should refund not only the cost of the goods but also the cheapest option cost of postage that the customer could have paid to receive the goods initially. As our only UK postage option is £0 GBP on all orders and as the regulations do not apply to contracts under £42 GBP, please note that we will not refund postage costs on returned goods unless the goods are, in our opinion, obviously faulty.
UK mail order customers can return any non-faulty goods within 30 days for a refund or replacement at no extra cost provided that they are, in our opinion, complete and in 'as new' condition. Buyers will need to pay the return postage to us. Please note that we cannot be responsible for goods that do not reach us, so we would advise obtaining some insurance by using Recorded Delivery, Special Delivery or Parcelforce, all of which provide insurance for a small additional cost.
You have 14 days from the date you receive the order to cancel if you wish. If you wish to do so you should contact us by email and arrange return at your own expense within 28 days of receipt. We would advise insuring all returned items (see above). Once the goods are received in good, undamaged and resalable condition, the refund will be processed, where possible, within 24 hours. If goods are returned in a damaged and therefore unresalable condition in our opinion, no refund will be made.
Please note if you are cancelling for any reason other than a 'warranty' return, we do not refund anything we charged you for postage when you ordered. If your order was shipped with free postage we will deduct the cost of the postage and packing from the refund amount.
We collect your information solely for the purpose of processing your order.
Web sales payment details are collected and processed by PayPal. We will not, at any point, have access to your card details.
Any personal information collected though the website or otherwise, shall never be divulged to any third party other than Royal Mail (RM) and will be used to deliver your order. RM will be given your address to ensure your order reaches you.
